It’s not lunch time but we ware starving….here’s what comes to mind…

Offshore Ale

Martha knows that Offshore is a winter haven for the locals to ward off the cold, but this place definitely has the same incredible atmosphere during the warm months of the season. Offshore’s hearty menu is sure to please anyone, and their Wood-Fired Brick Oven Pizzas (with ingredients like clams, portabello, truffle oil, and duck) will blow you away.

The Potato Pizza: Okay, so you’re thinking, ‘Potato Pizza?’ But to add to your confusion, this is ‘Mashed Potato Pizza.’ But stay with us for just a moment…mashed potato, bacon, cheddar cheese, and scallions put through a wood-fried brick oven?! How could this pizza NOT be incredibly delicious is our question.

Espresso Love

Coffee shop, café, rainy day oasis, call it what you want, but ‘E-love’ completes the culinary scene in Edgartown. Their menu consists of sandwiches, salads, and burgers, but let us be the first ones to remind you that these aren’t your ordinary, basic sandwiches, etc. With ingredients like brie, avocado, sun dried tomato pesto, and curry chicken salad, Martha has never had an item here she hasn’t liked. Take your food to go, or sit and relax at one of their tables with their Wi-Fi equipped café.

Martha Loves…

Chilmark Sandwich: (Grilled chicken, harvati cheese, lettuce, tomato, sun-dried tomato pesto on ciabatta roll). Seriously the kind of sandwich you could eat everyday and it would never get old.

The Veggie Burger aka ‘The Mama’: (homemade veggie burger, avocado, lettuce, tomato, sprouts, honey mustard, on a bulky roll).

Beetlebung

Vineyard Haven’s cozy café, right in the middle of five corners practically, equipped with Wi-fi, an espresso machine, and a delectable breakfast and sandwich menu. Awesome place to go and relax if you’ve jumped right off the boat, or are exhausted from all the shopping on Main Street, VH.

Martha Loves…

Anchorage Panini: So how many times have we read over and over again that wild salmon is far, far better for you (and tastier) than it’s counterpart, farmed raised salmon? But how many times have you eaten salmon that you have absolute NO idea where it came from? Fortunately, Beetlebung gives us their Salmon Sandwich with Wild Alaskan Salmon. Served on a bagel with cream cheese, capers, onions, you may just start questioning every other piece of salmon that you eat in the future, and will never turn back to farm raised.

Potstickers: Want to be full with something delicious, and not guilt yourself into going to the gym? Even though there is no Asian theme whatsoever here, Beetlebung’s potstickers transport you there. Made with chicken and vegetables, and floating around in a broth with noodles, these potstickers aren’t fried, and come with a delicious soy sauce for dipping.

The Bite

About small enough to fit in your beach bag, The Bite is a tiny hut in Menemsha, filled with seafood being fried. Sit at one of their outdoor tables, or take your food down to the water and watch the sun go down in the western sky.

Martha Loves…

Fried Clams: Martha has eaten a many a clams, and the unofficial consensus is that The Bite packs some of the best on the island.

Coconut Shrimp: Shrimp covered in a coconut batter that truly tastes like coconut that has been fried around a shrimp?! What a concept! Bringing a bit of tropical to a New England island.
