Wait. There’s more bung to this beetle? Yup. What began as a relaxed and vibe filled coffee house eventually led to what the owners soon realized, they needed to extend this lifestyle and well, island culture straight to cotton. What happened next has been a tremendous organic growth of three stores, touching different areas of Martha’s Vineyard and still to this day, offering new colorful artwork, high quality merchandise and a brand message that is hard to ignore. You’ve seen those abstract ink blots of crabs, lobsters, and the occasional bluefish, but what might be seen as a t shirt company, has blossomed into a line for women adorned with the various pieces of Beetlebung artwork and of course, a jelly fish here or there. The stores are decorated with by all means an island vibe and the staff alone, make the trip far worth it. Martha, has always bunged a few beetle shirts and if anything, give it a shot, stop by, and well, stroll into one of their shops.
