Bars

Bars, Pubs, Lounges, Drinking Holes, there’s lots of ways to describe it, and luckily there’s lots of them on the island: Places to Drink, Meet, Greet, and all usually found on the same street. (We rhyme on occasion). Our primetime lo-cal to check out the island Bar scene is Oak Bluffs. We’ve been lucky enough to be-friend some of the owners, but more importantly the bartenders (They pour the drinks, never forget!). In doing so, we’ve got the scoop probably before you do about what’s hopping for the upcoming night or weekend. So…whether you’re into PBR, Sam Adams Summer Ale or a mean Long Island Iced Tea, there’s a place for you and hell, we’ll probably be at all of them too. Check back often as we let you know which bars are hopping for the night!

This monster of a building presides over Oak Bluffs offering a great range of entertainment and has been doing so for a ton of years. Tucked back inside are some enormous bars and (2) floors of total greatness. Music up top, boozing down stairs and well hold on, there’s a huge bar upstairs too by the venue. Enjoy that as well! Offshore Ale & Co

The days of slurping down fizzed out cans of PBR are over. Why? Because back in the late 1990’s a man with a mission decided to bring some craft ale tastiness to the island of Martha’s Vineyard. Martha has been a happy gal ever since, being able to toss her peanut shells on the floor, stomp around a bit, and make some noise with some of the islands most eclectic live music.  We want to really let you know what kind of beers we’re talking about here. The beer list is changing constantly as new brews come pouring out of…

Danny Quinn’s Pub

11 Jun 2009 |

Well, the wait is finally over. After years of trying to chase down a fresh pint of Guiness or some traditional irish fare to eat, Danny Quinn’s has arrived in Oak Bluffs to become the premier and Island’s Only Authentic Irish Pub™. It’s a great addition to the already hopping Oak Bluffs Bar scene but as you should likely know, a good pub goes a long way on late Summer nights and sizzling Hot Summer days. Either way, we’re glad to welcome this new establishment and even more excited for the great irish music and culture pouring out of the…
